Who is this timebank for?

Qmunity Kenz is open to people of all ages, and living, studying and working in Qatar.

Timebanking is for you if you'd like to exchange your skills for time credits that you can either use or donate and meet new friends along the way.

The great diversity within Qatar’s Qmunity is what makes our time bank so special and enables such a wide variety of skills to be exchanged & shared so we welcome individuals and families, students, entrepreneurs, community groups and organisations who align to our values and want to contribute to a more equitable and sustainable way of living.

How can timebanking help you?

A 'community' isn't just a group of people living in the same place. It's a place where connections and interactions thrive.

Timebanking gives you an opportunity to find help or offer help and reconnect with the people and things in your community. We think of timebanking as the sweet spot between volunteering, bartering and redefining what we understand as ‘work’ to create a more equitable and sustainable way to thrive as a community.

Timebanking lets you exchange skills and support with fellow members. All members are valued equally and everyone's time is equal: 1 hour = 1 credit.

About this platform

The Qmunity Kenz timebank is managed by a small team of admins. Our role is to ensure that all exchanges happen smoothly and safely.

Our technology partner Made Open have created this Help page to help you learn more about the features and functions of this online platform. This page includes links to their website, which has more detailed user guides.

This platform is free-to-use and your data will not be shared with anyone who isn't named in our privacy policy.

How do I apply for a badge?

Badges are awarded by the platform coordinator based on you meeting relevant criteria. You can apply for a badge in your private dashboard. We currently have two badges:

All the early adopters who contributed to the initial formation of the timebank.

All the volunteer admins who help to keep the timebank going.

Apply to join the timebank

To join our Qmunity - click here to register and follow the on-screen instructions.

  1. Agree to our T&Cs.
  2. Choose account type, profile name, add email & password.
  3. Authenticate your account by clicking on the link in the email that we send to you.
  4. Choose your Best Match tags.
  5. Fill in a custom form which includes phone, ID number.
  6. This will take you back to this website - confirm your skills and areas of interest. 

To ensure the safety of our Qmunity, a welcome call will be made within 48 hours by one of our timebankers. If you have any concerns about the activities or profiles of any member, please contact us.
